Dean Potter is a bad-ass and has proven it once again.  Potter just crossed a slack-line stretched across the Enshi Grand Canyon in China.  The span he crossed was about 130 feet, but more notably 6,000 feet off the ground, all without a safety line or BASE rig.

Dean is known for more than just slack-lining.  Dean is a free climber, BASE jumper, BASEliner and highliner amongst other things.  Another major achievement was in 2006 when he climbed “The Reticent Wall” on El Capitan in just under 35 hours, smashing the old record by 5 days!
