Radar today at 8:10am

The snow started in Tahoe at about 5am this morning.  We’ve gotten less than an inch on the valley floor in Squaw and it’s currently snowing.  It’s currently snowing very lightly, cloud cover is thin, and the sun is pretty much out.

The big wind hasn’t shown up yet and Squaw has all their lifts scheduled.  It’s only gusting to 20 mph at High Camp.

Skiing likely won’t be too fantastic today.  Dust on crust most likely.  It should get better throughout the day as the snow continues to pile up.  Tomorrow and the rest of the week should be better with Friday and Saturday being unreal.

New Snow in Squaw Valley at 8:15am

SQUAW CONDITIONS THIS AM:

– 24F at High Camp with 23 mph wind gusts

– 31F at the base

– High today of 38F

It’s looking like this storm is gonna be mellowish until Friday.  On Friday it’s supposed to dump, then be another banner weekend.
