The Sugar Bowl Banzai event aired last night on NBC and our good friend and colleague Casey Riva destroyed the course in pea-soup conditions. Casey first appears at 26:52 and wins that heat solidly which lands him in the finals. He is interviewed by the blonde at around 28:52. The final is at 34:09 and Case takes a big air catapulting himself past the competitors and hangs on to the win after that. He appears to be hauling ass toward the finish. At around 40:14 the superfinal starts and Casey is right on Rahlves’ heels most of the race but came up just a little short in the end for the 10k purse. Unofficial Telluride and the Telluride community is proud of Casey for killing it in such nasty conditions and bringing the silver buckle to T-ride. We do expect you to beat Rahlves next year though buddy…and buy drinks afterwards.
