Silverado makes you feel like your in the mountains. The rest of Squaw is cool, but Silvy is the real deal. That terrain back there is raw. Thank you Squaw Valley for opening Silverado today.
Silvy was GOOD today. The 1″ of snow we got last night blew in just under the ridge and made the top half of the run soft, silent, and fast. Half way down it turned to slush and was still fun. Avy debris chunder was everywhere, but it was easy to spot and easy to avoid.
I didn’t ski anywhere else today. Silverado was so fun and different and new feeling that I couldn’t tear myself away.
