Jeb Corliss’ leg on Feb 2nd. You can see where he may have needed that skin graft

Jeb Corliss hit Table Mountain in South Africa while “proximity flying” his wingsuit for HBO cameras on January 16th.  He ended up with 2 broken legs and a neck injury.  One leg was a compound fracture, required surgery and was missing skin for quite a while.

Here is the latest update from Jeb:

“The skin graft took and I can finally go home on the 24th 🙂 Man this one was rough 🙂 I have some real scars now 🙂 Not the puny little scratches I had before 🙂 My leg has a slight Frankenstein look to it now :)” – Jeb Corliss FB page

Injuries like this as well as the time spent recovering from them will give you perspective on your life and what it is you are here to accomplish:

“I hope one day you will all get a chance to find something you love so much you are willing to die for it. Because only then will you truly understand what it means to live. Without passion there is no point in breathing air or drinking water…

At least that is how I feel :)” – Jeb Corliss FB page

Jeb’s crash will be on HBO on February 21st:

“To all those asking about seeing my footage from the impact it will be airing on HBO real sports on the 21st of Feb 🙂 So if you are interested in seeing the 12 angles all in HD and most of them about 5 ft from impact I suggest you watch 🙂 By the way I was wearing 3 cameras that all survived the impact 🙂 GoPro really is amazing :)” – Jeb Corliss FB page
