Cold, Warm, Rain, Snow, Repeat…Pretty much sums up January at Stowe, which is a good thing as far as I can tell.
DON’T BE FOOLED…. by the Brown you see in Burlington and Boston because when the snow is falling, its been falling hard. Â 3″ in 3 hours during the mid day hours on Sunday. Rain, Friday?? Â Don’t know what you are talking about.
6 – 9″ overnight and Monday was full on pow day! Â Granted, still hard underneath but nothing an East Coast Skier can’t handle.
Continuous snow all day today = more fresh lines. Â Checked the snow stake up high. Â Happy to report that the 4′ mark was just barely visible (probably buried by now) which is on the high side of the five year average. Â Mountain is good to go and the shots above Bypass were sweet!!
Remember 2″ to 6″ a day, everyday adds up to 18″ and counting!!
