This latest storm has worked wonders for Tahoe ski resorts. Pow was skied, terrain was expanded, hope was regained. But realistically we are still looking at a low tide in Tahoe.

Due to the lack of snow on the ground and in the forecast, the season’s first Rahlves Banzai Tour stop originally scheduled to be held Feb. 4-5th in Beaver Bowl at Alpine Meadows has been rescheduled for the 23-24th of Feb.

The Eagle Bowl Banzai in Kirkwood on the 11-12th of Feb is still on as planned, as are the rest of the stops on the tour.

New Banzai Tour Schedule:

This isn’t the only event to be affected by the drought. Several junior races, freestyle events, and freeride events have been moved, postponed or cancelled this season. Even the FWT Qualifier at Moonlight Basin was shifted from Jan. 26-29th to the later date of March 22- 25th.
