After getting viciously snowed out and not pushing a single pedal in Lake Tahoe last year in late May, the Amgen Tour of California will not be coming back to Tahoe.
This really comes as no surprise considering how bad the conditions were during the epic winter of 2011 in California. La Niña kicked the crap outta the tour last year, and with La Niña coming back for seconds, they’d have to be crazy to try it again in what Mark Twain called “the fairest picture the whole earth affords” (Mark Twain).
