Powder Cords or, powdah cods as you New England folks may know them as are, simply, the greatest ski invention of all time. They’re functional, they’re economical and they let everybody know that, although I’m rad, I’m also are responsible. My only gripe with Powder Cords is that they’ve really limited themselves by marketing them just for skis. When I have a good tomahawk, s%*t goes flying….and I mean flying. Sure, I can find my skis no problem, but where the f&#k did my poles, hat, and goggles go? That’s why I ski with no less than six powder cords on deep days. This makes all my equipment easily identifiable after a good yard sale. More importantly, I’ve color coded my powder cords so that I know which equipment to pick up first. This system allows me to find my skis before I waste time finding non-essential equipment. Sure, I hear snarky comments in the liftline, but those same people aren’t laughing when they’re sifting through powder and I’m on the way back to the lift line. So do yourself a favor and pick up a half dozen of these babies the next powder day- people may laugh, but not as hard as you’ll laugh skiing by them when they’re looking for their crap.
