The Art of Flight movie is now available for download on itunes, and I must say its maybe the best $10 dollars I’ve ever spent…wait, the ten I spent in Thailand went a long way…anyway the “snowboarding epic” as Travis called it is just that. It’s almost like a Planet Earth movie with snowboarding, there’s just as much wildlife footage as there is riding (the grizzly charging up the mountain is sick). The Art of Flight has shots of culture and nature, cities and natural disasters, it’s truly amazing! Comparing to Travis’ last movie That’s It, That’s All, The Art of Flight is much better, and I thought nothing could top That’s it, That’s All when it premiered in September of 2008.
ALSO, Unofficial Networks has a shot in the movie. Jeremy Jones rocks the Unofficial beanie for his whole section including the closing shot. FRONT AND CENTER. It was pretty cool to see one of the best snowboarders in the world rocking our toque!
I’m jealous of the cast in this movie as they have a seemingly unlimited budget from sponsors to ride the sickest terrain in the WORLD.
The Movie follows Travis and his friends on trips to exotic locations like Patagonia and Alaska. The Art of Flight discusses snowboarding and how weather and injuries can play a role in the sport we love. The movie show’s Olympic bad boy Scotty Lago break his jaw the gnarliest knee to face crashi’ve ever seen.
