That is right. There is surfing in Wyoming. All you California folk think you are so special with your mountains and oceans together in the same state. I am thinking, the drive from downtown Jackson to Lunch Counter takes quite a bit less time than the drive from Tahoe to the nearest beach break. Sure, it is only one standing wave and you get worked through a rapid every ride, but people are friendly and the rides last as long as you can stay on. Not too bad a compliment to go with our superior mountain. Anyway, The surf season started today in Jackson and there is still plenty of water/snow left to release into the Snake. Let us hope everything works out for a nice long season. Surfing, in Wyoming? | Lunch Counter, Snake River WY | Unofficial Networks

Not too bad a complement to accompany our superior mountain.

Anyway, The surf season started today in Jackson and there is still plenty of water/snow left to release into the Snake.  Let us hope everything works out for a nice long season.  Just be careful of the raft guides.  There are some out there for blood.
