Right now it is looking nasty out. Windy, overcast, cold, and it feels gross to just walk through the Village. The forecast doesn’t get much better. Here’s what we’ve got right now:
Friday: Supposedly it’s gonna be ‘party sunny’. High 52. Winds up to 50mph in the valley! Right now its 26F at the top of Squaw with 53mph wind gusts and it’s totally overcast. HEADWALL today? Probably not.
Saturday & Sunday looks straight up wintery:
TEMPERATURES SATURDAY WILL FALL THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AS A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE AREA OF LOW PRESSURE SLIDES SOUTH THROUGH THE REGION. LATE MORNING HIGHS SATURDAY WILL LIKELY BE SOME 15 TO 20 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE FOR LATE MAY. HIGHS SATURDAY WILL STRUGGLE TO REACH 60 IN THE WESTERN NEVADA VALLEYS WITH HIGHS IN THE 40S IN THE HIGHER SIERRA VALLEYS. SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP ALONG THE COLD FRONT AS WELL WITH SNOW LEVELS DROPPING DOWN TO 4500 AND 5000 FEET SATURDAY NIGHT. WHILE NO SIGNIFICANT ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED...HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE SIERRA COULD RECEIVE A FEW INCHES OF SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING.
