The Coastal Crew is making a pretty big buzz in the bike industry these days. Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, and growing up in one of the most ideal environments for mountain biking, Dylan Dunkerton, Curtis Robinson, and Kyle Norbraten really know how to throw down.  Not only do they shred with utmost style and finesse, but they’re innate artistic abilities with both shovels and cameras have them sitting at the forefront among the best filmmakers in the business.

I recently visited the boys on the Sunshine Coast, and rode some of their fantastic hand built trails for a couple days. Needless to say, it’s no wonder why these boys are so talented, when they have world class riding only moments away from where they live.

Callum Jelley came along for the ride.

Here are some photos of us riding in Dylan Dunkerton’s private backyard jump spot. It had been raining for nearly 2 days, and the rain had let up for a mere 20 minutes before we rode. The boys built the jumps with a sandy soil, which provides the perfect drainage to allow riding the whole way through the rainiest of winters.

Dylan hips out the last air in the line.

The crew recently released the trailer to their first full-length video titled Inside Out, and they will be working alongside some of the best riders on the planet to bring you one of the most anticipated films of the year. Can’t wait to see what these boys bring to the table.

A cool perspective on a big step up jump.

The Coastal Crew will be collaborating with Anthill Films to bring their first feature film under the production company name ‘Second Base’. Here’s the first look at their latest project. Enjoy.
