733 inches is good. We’ve all be talking about how much snow we got this season.  And when skiing around Squaw right now, we’re all talking about how much snow there is still.  It’s May and you can still ski the Fingers.  The Booger is still mostly buried.  The Bike Park has been canceled for the summer because of too much snow.  All this can lead to only one thing:

“We will certainly be examining the possibility of opening for July 4th, conditions permiting” -Andy Wirth, Squaw Valley Times

Now, that’s from the horses mouth right there!  If Squaw opens on the 4th of July, it’ll be the fifth time they’ve done so.

I hope they pull it off.  I know that it’d be a crazy fun weekend of debauchery, bikini skiing, drinking, and high fives.  With so many people in Tahoe during the 4th every year anyway, it’s sure to be a huge success.

Would you guys and gals come out and ski for the 4th of July at Squaw?  I know I would.
