CRJ Helmet & Goggle

Smith Optics, one of CR’s sponsors, stepped to the plate and created a CRJ goggle and helmet for the 2011 season.  The helmet is Smith’s Maze helmet with limited edition CRJ graphics. The Maze is an awesome helmet.  It has a nice, clean design and is the world’s lightest certified helmet.  It has a ton of venting (9 vents) and Smith’s AirEvac 2 ventilation, which maximizes goggle and helmet airflow which reduces fogging.  It fits really well and with it’s light weight, you can barely tell you are wearing anything, yet a helmet!

The CRJ goggle is Smith’s I/O and again comes in the limited edition CRJ colorway.  Inspired by rimless fashion eyewear and driven by the need for interchangeable goggle technology, the I/O brings full interchangeability and a slim, rimless design aesthetic to Smith’s Spherical Series. The I/O is technology and style at it’s finest.  The goggle comes with the Ignitor Mirror lens which is great in most conditions.  It also comes with an extra lens which is a Sensor Mirror, which is better in low light then the Ignitor lens.  The fit of the CRJ I/O is a medium fit and fits really well with most helmets, especially the CRJ Maze helmet! It’s really easy and quick to switch out lenses thanks to the I/O Quick release lens system.

The best part is that the proceeds of all sales from these two products go to the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation which helps run the CRJ Memorial Foundation.  You can’t go wrong with getting some great gear and also supporting a great cause.  You can buy the CRJ Helmet and Goggles online from PortersTahoe.com
