The North Face Masters of Snowboarding 2011 series kicked off last weekend at Snowbird, Utah. ย Snowbird had received some snow recently before the first day of competition, which was badly needed as many locals had been claiming worst conditions in 30 years! ย We had a nice weather day in between the qualifiers and theย finals, leaving the finals venue fresh with patches of rain crust on steeper aspects. ย

Aaron Robinson dropped first on finals day, and the judges awarded him the highest score of the day before heading into the super finals. ย Ryland Bell was sitting close behind in second, I (Ralph Backstrom) was in third, followed by Ross Baker, and Alex Yoder; a pretty darn stacked super final!

The video is a little recap of the weekend, including some storm day shredding, with Ryland Bell, Andrew Irwin, Chris Galvin, and Ralph Backstrom.

The final results were:

1. ย Aaron Robinson

2. ย Ralph Backstrom

3. ย Ryland Bell

4. ย Ross Baker

5. ย Adam DeVargas

6. ย Alex Yoder

7. ย John Rodosky

8. ย Chris Galvin

8. ย Jonathan Penfield

10. ย Brock Butterfield

11. ย Robert Hurley

12. ย Cody Niggemyer
