Today was another beautiful, sunny day here in Telluride. Due to a late night pub crawl that lasted a bit too long last night, my friend Brian and I had a late start to our ski day, getting out there around 11:30am. After meeting up with our friend Dave, we hiked up to Black Iron Bowl to ski Mountain Quail. The hike today didn’t go as easy as yesterday, still feeling hung from last night’s tasty libations. We definitely earned our turns today!
The snow was still decent today with Mounatin Quail definitely seeing a fair amount of traffic the last two days. It was pretty chopped up but still skiing well. Definitely a lot of fun! From here we made our way over to Nice Chute which wasn’t so nice today. It was really tracked out and there was some nasty stuff to look out for. I could have done without some of the stone-grinding for sure! Still a fantastic day on the hill capped off with some tasty beverages and amazing people watching at the Hop Garden. Looking forward to John Brown’s Body later tonight at The Llama, should be a great night!
