From soups, salads, and sandwiches to fresh pastries, cocktails, and salads by the pound, The Butcher and The Baker has something for everyone. Located on ‘main street’ at the east end of Telluride and open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it is a favorite to both locals and tourists. Any time of day, you can find this place bustling with people cozying up with a latte and pastry using the free Wi-Fi and chatting with friends while waiting in line. The friendly customer service and warm atmosphere makes The Butcher and The Baker inviting and leaves the customer wanting to return to try the ever-changing menu offering fresh organic ingredients daily.
The front counter with refrigerated case offers myriad decadent desserts such as homemade carrot cake and rich cupcakes topped with whipped cream, and a variety of delicious side dishes such as beet salad and asparagus served chilled. Some of my favorite items to try are the breakfast sandwiches with homemade English muffins, the steak sandwich with caramelized onions and bleu cheese and their Bloody Mary is one of the finest in town!
Check out this hot spot for a quick bite for breakfast before hitting the mountain or hearty lunch after a morning of skiing!
