And the Christmas crowds have arrived! Today we had long lift lines with about 20 minute waits at KT. Congestion on the slopes and Gapers everywhere. Even Far East and Resort Chair had lift lines but things got better once the Funitel and Cable Car opened upper mountain. Despite this, the skiing was super fun with about 10+ inches of snow on top of a rain crust layer. Up top it was a bit deeper but the rain crust seem to go almost all the way to the summits. Tower 16 and Broken Arrow opened around midday, which was nice. It seemed that the lower angle aspects had not slid as much and were skiing better then the rad Squaw Valley steeps. Oh yeah, Night skiing started today .
