If there’s a best way for celebrities and professional athletes to connect with their audience, it’s probably through their pets. You can’t not love a person who loves their dogs. That’s just how things work!

Olympic freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy has a jindo mix named Birdie, who he rescued while competing in the Olympics in South Korea. So WeRateDogs (who you should probably follow on everything if you don’t already) met up with the athlete to take Birdie for a walk and had some pretty interesting and important conversations.
