Skiing’s fastest growing brand– Black Crows Skis isn’t building intermediate skis. Like the terrain that surrounds their Chamonix HQ, these skis demand respect and when it comes to big mountain skis for 2018– The Corvus is easily our favorite.

But don’t let the pink coloration fool you– this ski does not fuck around. With a massive turn radius of 21 meters, you gotta be on top of these bad boys. If and when you’re ready to stand atop these hearty planks, they’ll take you where you need to go with stability, speed, and edge control aplenty.

“The Corvus satisfies our quest for an equilibrium between authenticity and modernity. we’ve found that balance with a ski which combines a super-reactive pivot and an infallible alpine spirit.” – Camille Jaccoux, Founder of Black Crows

What we found particularly appealing about this particular ski was its lack of a comparable ski from another manufacturer. The perfect blend of traditional camber with progressive early rise was, in essence, where powder skis started almost a decade ago. This combination allows the ski to hold a firm edge on the hardpack while allowing the skier to float on the soft stuff– which is– very different than the Atomic Benchetler or Volkl 100Eight. We like that.
