Lac La Belle, Michigan — It’s getting hard to keep track of all the changes at Mount Bohemia. Their latest terrain expansion announcement came yesterday, and uphill skiers and splitboarders will love the news.
Called the Labyrinth, this new terrain pod will be located close to the Haunted Valley (the Northside) pod. This terrain pod will only be accessible to hikers, uphill skiers, and splitboarders. This will be a quarter-mile-wide glade zone with a vertical drop of around 200 feet. To access it, you’ll need to have a day ticket or a season pass.
Other Upgrades
Multiple terrain expansions are in the works this offseason. The first is on Voodoo Mountain, which is home to their snowcat skiing. Seven new runs are being added, enhancing the experience. On the main mountain, they’re sculpting six new glade runs.
This follows new trails/glades in recent years, including the Far East pod. I imagine the trail map and sign designers must be exhausted.
Parking is another focus. This offseason, Bohemia has added dirt to the sides of Lac La Belle Road, which will allow for 120 new parking spots.
The Nordic Spa continues to see investments. This offseason saw the opening of the Swedish Sauna, the first of its kind in the country. This new area includes an indoor/outfdoor cool pool and a 25-person sauna.
The season pass is also seeing improvements, with snowcat skiing now included. At $99 (or $117 for Saturday visits) for a one-year pass, the value is hard to beat.
