Pennsylvania’s Camelback Resort is expanding its ski terrain for the upcoming winter season with three new trails, marking the Pennsylvania resort’s largest terrain expansion in more than 30 years. Camelback says the focus is less on the number of new acres and more on how the terrain will change the skiing and riding experience across the mountain.
Three New Trails Coming to Camelback
One of the new trails will be a double black diamond located beneath the Stevenson Lift. The trail will follow the fall line from the top of the lift and drop toward Pharaoh’s, creating a steep route designed for advanced skiers and snowboarders.
A new blue trail will branch off Upper Cleopatra and wind through the woods before connecting with Big Pocono. The trail is designed to provide intermediate skiers with more space to work on linking turns, changing lines and becoming comfortable in tighter terrain.
The resort is also adding a new black diamond trail below Basilisk. The route will feature rolling terrain and multiple turns while providing a new connection from Basilisk toward the Bailey.
Terrain Expansion Adds More Options
Each trail is designed to provide a different experience while giving visitors more choices throughout the mountain. The new routes are expected to improve connections between existing terrain and create additional opportunities for groups with different ability levels to spend more of the day skiing together. The resort is also adding a unique feature to the new blue trail. A secret hot chocolate bar will be located somewhere in the woods along the route.
Camelback Season Pass Prices Remain Unchanged
Alongside the terrain expansion, Camelback says it will keep season pass prices unchanged for now. Season passes will start at $269, with the resort emphasizing that there will be no increase.
