Brian Head, UT — Congratulations to the good folks at Brian Head Resort in Utah who are celebrating the opening of their new Giant Steps Conveyor with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026 at 4:00pm.
“With its grand opening, the Giant Steps Conveyor will unlock some of the best beginner terrain on the mountain and provide an amazing night skiing experience for first-time skiers and riders!”
The new Giant Steps Conveyor will spin 4:00–9:00pm every Friday and Saturday for the remainder of night skiing this season. If you are in the area we highly recommend joining GM Tom Pettigrew for the inaugural rides. If you do plan on attending remember don’t be late as the first 100 people get free access for the night:
Giant Steps Night Ski Conveyor Opening Night:
When: Friday, March 6th | 4:00 PM – 4:15 PM (Ceremony) | Night Skiing 4:00PM until 9:00 PM.
Where: Giant Steps Mountain (Located to the right of Giant Steps Express on the Race Course trail).
Cost: The Ceremony is FREE to attend.
Skiing/Riding: Conveyor-only tickets are just $19 (link coming soon).
What’s Happening?
First Laps: Be among the first to ride the new surface lift and hit the pristine beginner terrain under the lights.
4:00 PM: Kickoff with a brief celebratory speech from our General Manager Tom.
The Big Moment: Watch our our hard-working Mountain Operations team officially cut the ribbon with the “Big Scissors” to open the new terrain for you.
Treats: Complimentary Hot Cocoa and Cookies (while supplies last).
FAQ
Do I need a lift ticket to watch the ceremony? No! The ceremony is held at the base area. You only need a ticket if you plan to ski or ride afterward.
Is this family-friendly? Absolutely. This area is specifically designed for first-timers and families.
