Talk about getting after it!

One absolutely fearless skier has already laid down the first tracks of the season in Tuckerman Ravine, New Hampshire. As the video shows, it was rocky, icy, and pretty scratchy up top, but somehow he still linked a couple of dreamy powder turns halfway down before surviving the mandatory ice-bullets and mandatory East Coast applause.

That, friends, is the official, unmistakable sign that East Coast ski season has arrived, whether Mother Nature is ready or not.
