Titouan Le Roux's epic 165-day journey

When it comes to monumental through hiking objectives, completing the Pacific Crest Trail is at the top of the list. Spanning 2,650 miles, the PCT stretches from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington.

Often times people who compete the hike say the come out a different person on the other end after facing the physical and emotional demands required. Such was the case for Titouan Le Roux who documented his epic 165-day journey in this award winning documentary combining stunning cinematography and an intimate portrayal of one man’s ambitious quest. Very well done, cheers to Tito!

The result of five months of hiking and filming in harsh conditions, and over three months of intense editing. This film lives close to my heart, not only because it captures my journey through the wilderness of Western America, but because it’s a project that I’ve been thinking of and planning for years. To summarize such a long and eventful adventure in less than an hour, was difficult.

Although I wanted to say it all, to show it all, I had to reflect on these 165 days in the wild and pull what was most important from it, to give you the best version of my story on the Pacific Crest Trail. And I said “my,” because it’s important to remind that everybody’s story is different. We all went into this hike for different reasons, coming from different backgrounds, and with a different goal in mind. We just happened to walk on the same path.

With that said, I’m happy, proud, excited to show you my first documentary feature (the first of a planned trilogy), a glimpse of what the life on a thru-hike looks like. I thank you all in advance for your support until now and moving forward. -Titouan Le Roux
