“Of course environmental protection is a very important issue and giving a second life to a cabin that has already had dozens of years of service behind it is an important goal and very important to us.” –Ruelle Nicolas, Leitner Project Manager

Nice to see that folks at Leitner-Poma are serious about keeping old gondola cabins in service rather than sending them to the trash heap (or auction block). Shuttling skiers and snowboarders uphill can take quite a toll on the mechanisms and finishings of cabins but with bit of expertise and attention to detail they can be updated and refurbished to as good as new and see many more years on the mountain. Love this!
