Got an extra $1.5 million lying around? If so, you could purchase your own ski resort! Toggenburg Mountain, which was closed down this summer after 68 years of operation. Owner Peter Harris purchased the mountain for $750,000 in August, closing it almost immediately citing staff shortages and a lack of business.

Toggenburg is Harris’ third ski resort, his other two remaining open through this season. According to Syracuse.com, the other resorts have had a bit of a tough season, with poor management damaging the customer experience. Song Mountain Resort, owned by Harris, left over 100 skiers stuck on a lift for two hours on February 6th.

Harris doesn’t intend to list the sale, and has instead opted to just post the sign and entertain offers, of which he is yet to receive. His decision to sell the mountain could be credited to a group of passionate Toggenburg skiers, who started a Facebook page, reopen TOG!, to gather supporters and share their message. The page is currently at 1.1 thousand members.
