Smugglers Notch (Route 108) is officially closed for the season! The road linking Stowe and Cambridge has been closed following a winter blast that dropped several inches of snow on the ground with as much as half a foot more expected.
Some of the best backcountry skiing in the state of Vermont can be accessed from this road. It also makes for a great winter commute for one cross country skier.
