- Already doing backflips
- Spending his first time back on snow @Cardrona in New Zealand
Since breaking himself off during a backcountry jump session in the Whistler backcountry this past March, Mark McMorris has been busy making tracks on the comeback trail.
The 23 year-old, 7-time X-games gold medalist recently let his fans know that he’s back on snow in New Zealand. In a brief post to Instagram was met with cheers and applause with one stoked commenter praised the icon’s comeback saying, “snowboarding wouldn’t be the same without [Mark McMorris].”
Back on March 25th, McMorris suffered multiple broken ribs, a broken left arm, fractured pelvis, a ruptured spleen, as well as a collapsed lung after misjudging a jump due to flat light.
While McMorris isn’t known for his gym grams, he recently posted a very encouraging video of himself doing standing backflips like it ain’t no thing.
Pretty crazy to think he was looking like this just 4 months prior…
