The Aspen Skiing Co. announced on Thursday that drones can only be used at it’s ski resorts by people with a special license from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The regulation mirrors U.S. Forest Service rules on drones that prohibits their use on public land unless a drone flier has obtained an exemption from the FAA.
It has been reported that the SkiCo believes that allowing drones on their mountains
is way too risky and could be dangerous to people riding chairlifts and coming down the slopes.
