Spanish Olympic skateboarder Danny León had an incredible idea to take advantage of the first total solar eclipse in Europe in 27 years and he absolutely nailed it.
The Paris 2024 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic veteran traveled to hillside in rural Spain where he set up a quarterpipe to perfectly align with the sun at the moment of totality. When the celestial bodies aligned, he charged the quarterpipe and sent absolutely perfectly synchronized stalefish air with the eclipse in the background.
The Spaniard was thrilled with the results calling it “The trick of a lifetime.” Cheers to León and his clutch film crew who captured the footage. The took a ton of planning, didn’t have much room for error and at the end of the day could not have gone better. Vamos!
