A new high-altitude attraction in the Swiss Alps is offering visitors a jolt of adrenaline alongside sweeping mountain views.

Perched at 6,922 feet above sea level at the summit of Grand Chamossaire in western Switzerland, the newly opened BalancAIR swings riders out over the valley after a dramatic initial drop. Accessible via the Grand Chamossaire chairlift, the 39 foot tall structure seats three people at a time, lifting them to a near-vertical 90-degree angle before releasing them.

The experience is designed to blend thrill and scenery. Riders are suspended momentarily above the Alpine landscape before plunging forward, with panoramic views of surrounding peaks unfolding mid-swing. The result, operators say, is equal parts exhilaration and awe.

A single swing will set you back around $20 USD but if you book it ahead of time online they are offering 50% discounts. Pretty neat way to experience the top of ski resort in the summer months. Unfortunately there are no underdogs allowed so don’t even ask.
