New Super Pipe @ Park City Mountain Resort

Park City Mountain Resort is hard at work crafting their new Super Pipe and half pipe master Eric Rosenwald was on the ground this week providing an update on the progress.

While some may be under the impression that constructing a halfpipe just involves pushing snow around and forming up walls, Rosenwald is quick to point out that it is much more involved process requiring months of planning. Park City’s new Super Pipe is an inground feature that has been 3D modeled down to two centimeters:

“The amount of material we are using would cover 8 football fields in one foot deep. This pipe will use 60% less snow and be about 125 feet longer” -Eric Rosenwald

The upgraded 22-foot halfpipe will in January for The Snow League and set a new standard for progression over the traditional 18-foot build.

“Super pipe update! What’s taking shape right now is more than a halfpipe, it’s pushing the limits of what’s possible in pipe construction. Big vision, serious precision, and a build that’s going to set the stage for The Snow League this winter and beyond.”
