Alpine slides are a ton of fun, taking riders down a metallic track sometimes at remarkably high speeds. They can be found all around the world, often times at ski resorts, taking advantage of natural hills and slopes through nature. With their often close proximity to the surrounding woods, wildlife experiences on the slides aren’t unheard of.
Martin Rejža Dědek had a pretty wild experience while riding an alpine slide in Czechia, coming across a young deer fawn that was stuck on the slippery track. While the animal struggled at first, it was eventually able to climb off the slide without assistance.
The adorable encounter at Bobovka Prosek, just outside of Prague. The alpine slide runs around 2,560 feet and drops around 146 feet. It’s quite the track, featuring two 360° loops and several sharp 180° turns. If you’re interested in visiting the next time you’re in Prague, check out their website here.
This video serves as a good reminder to leave baby wildlife alone. Many times animals will leave their young alone while they go off to hunt, leaving behind a baby that appears in need of help. If you find a young fawn or other baby animal that seems abandoned, your best bet is to leave it alone and call your local wildlife officials.
