How The SkiRoad is made:

The SkiRoad frame is made of elastomeric polyamide, a high-performance thermoplastic resin that allows it to  withstand stress, dampen vibrations, and deform just enough to aid steering. In laboratory tests, it has withstood more than 200 kg of weight without damage. The SkiRoad’s toe guard protects against the risk of skewing and has an adjustment screw for setting the turning radius. SkiRoad is a steering skate entirely designed and manufactured by Maplast based in Potenza Picena, Macerata.

While you might already be hatching plans on how best to use your SkiRoads upon delivery, they actually have an entire 4-step method designed for skiers to take their improvements gained on the roads to the mountain for maximum success.

The SkiRoad Method:

The Skiroad method is based on four fundamental phases, designed to accompany the athlete on a gradual growth path aimed at improving their skiing technique.

PHASE 1 Mental Preparation

OBJECTIVE Create a solid mental foundation to face training with concentration and calm.

DESCRIPTION The athlete prepares through relaxation exercises and mental visualizations. During this phase, he imagines fluid and precise movements, stimulating a connection between mind and body that facilitates technical learning.

NOTE Mental preparation helps the athlete memorize the movements, making each phase more effective.

PHASE 2 Focused Training

OBJECTIVE Refine movements and postures to perfect your technique.

DESCRIPTION The athlete trains in a distraction-free environment, focusing exclusively on the quality of their movements. Through targeted and progressive exercises, they develop automatic techniques that mimic the sensations of skiing. Skiroad skates, with their ability to simulate the behavior of skis, offer an ideal platform for refining key movements.

NOTE Practicing on Skiroad skates prepares the athlete to manage complex movements more easily, improving technical efficiency.

PHASE 3 Consolidation

OBJECTIVE Strengthen acquired skills, develop awareness and learn self-correction.

DESCRIPTION The athlete can be guided or encouraged to reflect on their progress through tools such as videos or visual feedback. During this phase, the athlete begins to better understand their movements, acquiring the ability to self-correct. This process fosters greater independence in practice and accelerates technical learning.

NOTE Self-correction becomes an essential element in consolidating results, helping to strengthen the athlete’s confidence in their abilities.

PHASE 4 Transformation on Skis

OBJECTIVE Transfer the movements learned on skates to practice on skis.

DESCRIPTION The movements learned with Skiroad skates, although similar to those on skis, have some differences. However, thanks to the similarity between the two tools, the transformation of memorized movements into actual skiing occurs naturally, quickly, and effectively. This phase represents the moment in which the athlete applies what they have learned, adapting it to real-world conditions on the slopes.

NOTE The transition from skates to skis accelerates the process of technical growth, allowing the athlete to face new challenges with greater confidence and preparation.

A System Designed to Ski Better

The Skiroad method is designed to improve skiing performance, offering a training process based on easily assimilated movements and strategies. Skating allows you to practice technique in a team environment, ensuring advanced learning that translates into faster and more informed progress on the slopes.
