Eden, Utah — It’s been a busy past few years at Powder Mountain/Haven. Over on the public side, four new lifts have been installed, more (and paid) parking has been added, and they’ve brought back terrain parks after a multi-year hiatus. The next few years will see the debut of the DMI terrain expansion, two new lifts, and a new base lodge at Sundown. The private side has also been busy, with lots of improvements underway.
Yesterday, Powder Haven announced the second phase of its development. This $157 investment plan will include two new chairlifts, the completion of a new clubhouse, and a few real estate developments.
“We’re seeing tremendous momentum on the Powder Haven project, development is moving swiftly and there is a continuous, growing interest in the private ski category,” said Reed Hastings, CEO of Powder. “Future community members are recognizing the opportunity to help shape this place from the ground up, and are drawn to the public/private blended resort model, which gives them private ski access with the charm and character of a beloved 50+ year old resort. It’s the best of both worlds.”
Here’s a rundown of what’s coming to Powder Haven over the next few years.
New Lifts
Two new lifts will debut during the 2026-27 season. Half Pint will service mellow terrain, which will be ski-in/out for residents. The Foxtrot chairlift will have a vertical rise of over 1,200 feet. Foxtrot will also allow for improved access between two of the new private lifts: Raintree and Primetime. This terrain zone features mostly advanced and expert terrain.
These additions will be the third and fourth new lifts on the private side since the new business model debuted in 2024. The other private lifts include Raintree, which services previously public terrain, and Primetime, a terrain zone with mostly expert runs and glades. Overall, Powder Haven members now have exclusive access to six lifts and over 3,000 skiable acres.
The Clubhouse
The Arclodge is set to give members more to do off the slopes. The new 73,000-square-foot building will feature an outdoor swimming pool, gym, rock-climbing wall, ski lockers, general store, spa, dining options, and more. This impressive facility is expected to open in 2028.
Real Estate
In May, lots will go on sale for Powder Haven’s new neighborhoods. One of these neighborhoods will be known as Prado. It will consist of 34 new lots. The lots will range from around 1 to 4.5 acres and be close to the new Arclodge. The new lots will be made available beginning on May 1st.
For those looking to move in quickly, Powder Haven is opening The Chalets at Shelter Hill. Located near the future top terminal of the new Half-Pint chairlift, these buildings will be available in two sizes: around 3,600 and 5,400 square feet.
While a vast majority of us will never be able to experience this side, it’s still cool to see Powder Haven/Mountain evolving, which means a better experience on the public side, too.
