Humanoid robot chases off wild boar.

Anywhere that wild boars happen to live, there seems to be a wild board problem. That isn’t always 100% true, but wild boars are very good at causing issues. In Warsaw and other major cities in Poland, this is absolutely true. The past decade has seen an increase in sightings throughout the city, leading to culling efforts back in 2023, but a famous Polish robot may have found the key to the issue.

Edward Warchocki is a humanoid robot that travels the country, meeting with celebrities, politicians, and the general public. It’s gained quite a large following on social media and is now rather well known around the country. Recently the robot went viral worldwide after a clip of it chasing off a bunch of wild boars was shared to its social media.

The topic of humanoid robots is certainly a controversial one, but this could be a good use case for the machines. Use robots as moving scarecrows. Maybe they chase of boars, maybe they chase off birds at airports. If used right, they could save some lives.
