Tragic news out of West Virginia where Timberline Mountain has confirmed the death of a guest that occurred on Sunday, January 4th.
The incident is currently under investigation, and neither the ski resort nor local officials have released the cause of death. The resort asks for patience from the public inconsideration for the family’s privacy.
“Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our guests. We would like to thank our ski patrol, mountain staff, and local emergency services for their swift and professional response. Our hearts go out to everyone affected, and we thank our community for their support in the wake of this tragedy.” – Timberline Mountain
Timberline Mountain currently has 100% of its trails and lifts open to skiers and snowboarders, with a snow depth of 24 inches at the bottom of the mountain. The West Virginia resort typically sees an average of 170 inches of snowfall in a season.
