After stepping away from competition to reconnect with skiing on a personal level, Ross Tester is back to competitive skiing with something to prove. The following is an intimate look at one of freeride skiing’s most naturally gifted athletes as he mounts his return to the Freeride World Tour for the 2026 season. Ross describes the film as “A look into the thoughts and decisions behind my year off and return.”
Its no small thing to step back in the mountaintop gates of an FWT event and we are fired up to see that Ross’s time away from the sport has renewed his commitment and he is fully locked in and ready to charge.

In the 2025 FWT season, Ross Tester made a powerful comeback as a Season Wildcard, taking 1st place at the Baqueira Beret Pro and 2nd at the Xtreme Verbier, finishing 6th overall. Ross, an American native, was born with a passion for skiing, and it remained the central focus of his life during his formative years.
As the years passed, he honed his skills, adding both speed and a repertoire of thrilling tricks to his skiing repertoire. Earning the prestigious “Rookie of the Year” title during the FWT21 season and finishing 3rd overall in the FWT22. Let’s see what Ross brings into the 2026 season.
