With Copper Mountain set to host the first U.S. alpine ski race on the World Cup circuit over Thanksgiving weekend, the Colorado resort shared a video of Stifel Copper Cup athlete Mikaela Shiffrin sharing her thoughts on what it means to have World Cup racing on home snow.
Shiffrin has called Colorado home for the past 12 years and Copper Mountain has played a large part in her evolution into the most dominant ski racer of all-time. Here’s an inside look at her training at Copper Mountain and peek into what U.S. ski racing fans can look forward to this season.
All you race fans can expect to see Mikaela at the Stifel Copper Cup competing in the giant slalom and slalom races on November 29-30 in a race that brings her training, roots and the spirit of U.S. ski racing together.
