Ski legend Glen Plake.
Ski legend Glen Plake.

Glen Plake is easily one of the most legendary alpine skiers in the history of the sport, bringing a sense of punk into the sport with his massive grin and gnarly pink mohawk. You’ve likely seen him bashing moguls and throwing huge airs, but his talents go far beyond just what he can do on the mountain.

Plake is certainly most known for on-mountain skiing but he shares a near equal love for slalom skiing on the water, and through that love for lakes and the water he’s spent years wrenching on his own boats and engines, keeping a love for the old alive and well. For the seventh episode of Soul of Skiing from FlowPoint TV, they sat down with Glen to discus his life and love for the water, water skiing, and the many other skills and talent that come from it.

We’ll always love Glen Plake for his fantastic energy on the mountain, but it’s awesome to see his love for old vehicles, boats, and gear. He does a fantastic job representing the soul of skiing.
