Tom Brennan is constantly surprising people who ask his age while sharing chairlift rides at Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado. The usually think he is in his 70s to which he replies “higher.” When they finally get his real age “The can’t believe it and are ready to fall off the chair.”
Born in Queens, New York on January 5th, 1927, Tom Brennan is 98 years old and still still teaching ski lessons and carving down the mountain. By many standards, Brennan picked up skiing late in life as he didn’t make a turn until he relocated to Colorado at age 35. With a background in hockey, he quickly picked up edge control and its been his life’s passion ever since.
Despite his current battle with bladder cancer, Brennan maintains his dedication to his longevity and aims to ski at 100 years old. For anyone who complains about the aches and pains of day on the hill, consider Brennan’s technique dealing with his arthritis, he swears at the pain and “gives it hell” and simply continues on with his way. Cheers to Tom and his absolute refusal to slow down. Get ready to rethink your own potential after watching what this nonagenarian is capable of.
