The event is free and will run between 4pm and 8pm on Thursday. You are requireed sign up to participate, which you can do here. At this point nearly every time slot is full.
Even if you can’t participate in the escape room, visiting the Alf Engen Ski Museum offers plenty of fascinating exhibits and experiences surrounding the story of Alf Engen and the other pioneers who helped shape skiing in the Intermountain West. There are plenty of interactive exhibits as well, including an avalanche maker game, ski jump simulator, and a mountain sport simulator.
Alf Engen served as the Ski School Director at Alta Ski Area for 40 years, helping to shape powder skiing as we know it thanks to Alta’s bountiful snowfall. He’s frequently nicknamed “The Father of the Powder Skiing Technique.” He was also the U.S. National Ski Jumping Champion 16 times, U.S. Open Slalom and Downhill champion in 1942, and much more.
