Jerry Wiper aims to keep your goggles free of fog.
Jerry Wiper aims to keep your goggles free of fog.

There’s not much worse than finally getting on the slopes after driving up to the mountain, throwing on all your gear, and waiting in the lift line only for your goggles to fog up making it near impossible to see where you’re going. There are several things you can do to make sure your goggles don’t fog, from storing them carefully and ensuring they dry out properly after every use to applying dish soap to prevent future fogging.

Unfortunately sometimes none of those quite seem to work. The anti-fog coating in your ski goggles is already gone, if it was ever there, and you find yourself taking off your ski goggles again and again to wipe down the insides. Under those circumstances, your best move might be to turn toward something like the Jerry Wiper.

The Jerry Wiper works with two magnets that sandwich the goggle lens between them, allowing you to easily reach up and wipe your goggles free of fog no matter where you are on the slopes. The device uses small microfiber clothes to clear your lenses, preventing scratches or damage to the existing anti-fog coating.

A leash looped onto your goggle strap prevents the Jerry Wiper from disappearing if it falls off. All you have to do to use it is loop the wiper to your goggles, clip the magnets to  either pane of your goggle lens, hold the outer magnet, and wipe across your goggle lens. It’s pretty darn simple, and has the potential to keep you going with proper visibility all day long.

Right now the Jerry Wiper is on sale for $9.95. If you’re a Scuba diver, freediver, or snorkeler, there’s a Jerry Wiper available for you as well.
