Shaun White headed to Chile for a late summer snowboard trip and scored big on the iconic slopes of Valle Nevado.

Shaun landed in Chile last week and went straight from the airport to Valle Nevado where he ripping his snowboard the day. One of the best aspects of Valle Nevado is its proximity to Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). From SCL, it is only about a 90-minute drive to Valle Nevado.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist was treated with bluebird turns for the first couple days of his trip before a massive storm blew through and dropped an incredible 5 feet of snow in 48 hours. Shaun’s videos from his trip speak for themselves. This is Chile powder riding at its pinnacle:
