Idaho’s Tamarack Resort has reopened select operations in a a deliberate, safety-led approach after it was forced to shut down all operations due to a nearby wildfire. The resort first closed select operations on Wednesday, August 13th. They then fully suspended operations later in the day on Wednesday before keeping them closed on Thursday, August 14th.

Wildfire Closure at Tamarack Resort

On Wednesday morning, Tamarack Resort announced that they’;d suspended all on-mountain activities for the day due to the pervious evening’s wildfire activity. That included all lift-served activities, cross country trails, ziplining, and the Mid Mountain Lodge. Golf at Osprey Meadows, the Tamarack Marina & watersports, dining outlets including Clearwater Coffee, Village Market, and Seven Devils Taphouse, and the Spa at Tamarack remained open.

Later in the day at around 11:40am, the resort closed the Tamarack Marina and Osprey Meadows Golf Course. Then several hours later at 3:20pm, Tamarack Resort announced that they’d suspended all resort until further notice.

On Thursday, August 14th, the resort once again announced that they had suspended all resort operations for the day.

Select Operations Continue

Late Thursday night, Tamarack Resort announced that they would be reopening select operations in a deliberate, safety-led approach on Friday, August 15th. The reopening includes the Osprey Meadows Golf Course, lodging, dining, village retail and rentals, the Spa at Tamarack, Whitewater Rafting, and other events and activities. Despite the openings, Tamarack continues to keep the Marina, ziplining, Mid Mountain Lodge & Lift-Served Activities closed for daily safety evaluations.
