Marcus Goguen reacts to his scariest Freeride World Tour run.

Professional Canadian freeride skier Marcus Goguen recently reacted to his winning run at the 2024 YETI Xtreme Verbier on the legendary Bec des Rosses face which he describes as the scariest run of his life.

The video was created as part of a new series where Goguen plans to walk through his old competition runs, detailing his run selection process, body fatigue, emotions, and everything in between.

For this specific run, Goguen had to hike about 45 minutes from the top of the tram to reach the competition. Once he reached the top, he was forced to wait alongside the other last competitors for a ~30 minute weather delay.

Once the competition restarted, Goguen was able to throw down an incredible run, winning his second event of the season and putting him in 2nd place overall for 2024.

During the 2025 season, Goguen took first at the Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro and the Georgia Pro. He also earned a second place finish at the Val Thorens Pro and finished the season as the Men’s Ski Freeride World Champion. He’s got plenty of wild runs to go over in detail, and we’re excited to see him explore each one as this series progresses.
