Congratulations to Swiss ski racer Marco Odermatt who was honored over the weekend with his very own gondola on the iconic Hahnenkammbahn at Kitzbühel Ski Resort in recognition of his Super-G victory on the Streif last January.
The the 27-year-old 4-time overall World Cup champion, Olympic gold medallist, and three-time world champion was joined by 200 invited guests and a bevy of adoring fans as he unveiled his personalized gondola at his childhood resort.
Since 2019 Odermatt has competed 12 times in Kitzbühel, earning eight top 10 finishes, but he finally stood atop the podium in 2025. Odermatt hadn’t visited the Hahnenkamm in summer in nearly 20 years but he made a special trip for this special ceremony.
