3-time Olympic Gold medalist Shaun White was on hand to celebrate a historic day in Oregon where North America’s largest landing bag was christened at Wy’East Mountain Academy’s training facility in Government Camp.
Ever the showman, White launched a superman frontflip and walked straight into an interview with KOIN 6 reporter Adam Bjaranson where he discussed how this one-of-a-kind Olympic-caliber training tool brought to life by The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team’s Project Gold initiative partnership with High Cascade Snowboard Camp, Windells Freeski Camp will help facilitate progression for the next generation of snow athletes.
“I’m just out here having fun; this airbag is game-changing for the next generation of athlete. This is such a cool place, I used to come here every summer. I remember camping out in a van in the parking lot of Timberline and brushing my teeth in the lodge.” -Shaun White
The new bag looks incredible. Cheers to Shaun for coming out and showing all the up and coming athletes how its done.
